The Arts: Cultural Arts Center: Summer Camps and Programs

Description: Camps offering visual arts, ceramics (hand building and wheel), dance, drama, handwriting, Legos, French and Spanish.

Science Art Guide
Description: Campers will enhance their knowledge of design as they discover the science behind painting, sculpture and more. Dress for a mess.
Cost: $300 members, $330 nonmembers
Cross Family Studio: Nature's Studio Art Camp
Ages served: 6-16
Dates/times: 6/12-7/10; full day (6+ hours) and half day (2-5 hours)
Description: Campers will investigate nature through art in small groups with individualized instruction, using a variety of media and techniques.
Cost: $125 half day, $225 full day
Arts Council: ARTcamps
Ages served: 6-13
Dates/times: 6/5-8/7; hours to be determined
Description: Mold or throw clay on a wheel, sculpt, draw, paint or explore acting. Content/ages served will vary by week. Half- and full-day camps begin
June 5 and run through the week of Aug. 7.

Glass Axis: Summer Kids Camp
Ages served: 7-10
Dates/times: 6/20-6/23, 7/17-20; half day (2-5 hours)
Description: Campers will learn about art and science from a teacher. Each day children will create new pieces such as fused jewelry and
beads, a mosaic flower pot and tile, and a glass tile painted with frit. Classes run noon to 4 p.m.

Teen Summer Workshops
Ages served: 12-17
Dates/times: 6/5-6/28; full day (6+ hours) and half day (2-5 hours)
Description: We offers young people the opportunity to explore the arts through workshops that expand their creative and critical-thinking skills
using a variety of techniques and mediums. Workshops are 2.5 hours over three days and are offered in the morning (9:30 a.m. to noon) and afternoon (1-3:30 p.m.).
Participants who sign up for both sessions stay for lunch.
Cost: $65 per session
Young Masters Summer Camp
Ages served: 6-12
Dates/times: 6/12-8/4; full day (6+ hours) and half day (2-5 hours)
Description: Children will make crafts that explore and expand their creativity. Five different themed weeks will be offered. Camps run Monday to Friday. Half-day
camps are 9:30 a.m. to noon; full-day camps are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $110 for half-day and $195 for full-day sessions
Paper Moon Art Studio: Paper Moon Art Camp
Ages served: 6-15
Dates/times: 6/19-6/23, 7/31-8/4; half day (2-5 hours)
Description: We incorporate art into nature and nature into art. We offer walks through a ravine, land art, sculpture, mixed media, puppets, games and snacks.
Each weeklong camp will have different art experiences. The June 19-23 session runs 9 a.m. to noon. The July 31 to Aug. 4 session is 1-4 p.m.

Ages served: grades 4-9

Description: Students will engage in 3-D constructions of everyday materials, learn mold-making techniques and have the chance to get their hands dirty. They will gain knowledge
and a sense of inspiration from historical and contemporary artists.

Making Movies Camp
Ages served: 11-13
Dates/times: 7/24-7/28; full day (6+ hours)
Description: Students will work together as actors, directors, camera operators, editors and scriptwriters to put together commercials, music videos and more.
Students will select a genre, storyboard and film their movies. Students will receive a link to their works at the end of August.
Cost: $275 resident, $325 nonresident
Art & Technology: STEAMpunk Art
Ages served: 8-11
Dates/times: 7/24-7/28; half day (2-5 hours)
Description: Unleash creativity and imagination during this five-day multisensory art experience. Glass, metal and gears will be the fuel of this maker-inspired camp.
Cost: $150 members, $175 nonmembers
Day Camps: Dance & Drama
Ages served: 4-12
Dates/times: 6/13-6/15, 7/18-20; half day (2-5 hours)
Description: Learn the basics of Irish dance in an energetic and professional environment. Children learn basic moves from the reel to the jig and perform for the parents on the
last day of camp. Both sessions are 10 a.m. to noon.
Cost: $65 through May 1, $75 afterward. Fifty percent sibling discount.
Actors' Theatre
Ages served: 9-11
Dates/times: 6/19-6/23; half day (2-5 hours)
Description: Campers will create and perform a short play, as well as rehearse scripted scenes and monologues and experience improvisation, theater games and more.
The camp will culminate in a 7:30 p.m. Friday performance on the Compound stage.

Space Camp Kids Camp: Stars "Look at the stars"
Ages served: 5-10

Description: Campers will experience a week of out-of-this-world theatrical games and plays featuring space and aliens. Rehearse scripted scenes and experience
improvisation, theater games and more. The camp will culminate in a showcase performance Friday night.

BalletMet: Stars and Stripes
Ages served: All ages

Description: Celebrate freedom of dance at a Fourth of July-themed camp.

Description: Journey on a head-to-toe adventure with the help of tiaras, fairy wings, tutus and more.

Dramatic Impact: Beauty and the Beast and Peter Pan

Description: Campers can choose to focus on either Peter Pan or Beauty and the Beast for a week of drama instruction. There will be a production on Friday for friends and families.
Costumes and scripts are provided. Instruction is by Candace Mazur-Darman and staff.

walking tours, presentations by professionals and imaginative games.

The Etiquette Institute of Ohio: Camp CEO and Princess Camp
Ages served: 5-14

Description: Camp CEO and Princess Camp are award-winning experiences that maximize a child's success through modern etiquette and manners to excel at home,
school and into the workplace. There are field trips to the Golf Depot, Brio Tuscan Grille for lunch and more.

Description: The longest-running camp of its kind. This is a way for kids to learn how to care for horses and other animals. Daily riding lessons with an emphasis on safety.

Description: This weeklong learn-to-sail camp teaches participants the beginning skills of boating. We also include some basic canoeing training. Camp runs

One Five Sports: Nike Basketball Camps

Description: Skill-development-based basketball camps at various locations. Each individual camp is a four-day session.

iSky Zone Trampoline Park: SkyCamp

Description: This camp features exercise and activities, including open trampoline jumping, age-appropriate games, activities and crafts. Camp hours
